In with the magic of the May Flower Moon and awesome wares of the Oddities Flea Market...

Hey everyone! Still reflecting on our Magical trip to SE Asia as we have returned to the gloom and rain in Los Angeles (of all places)! The best news is the wildflowers and greenery are still growing strong on our hillsides. The full moon also known as the Flower Moon falls on Saturday, May 18th, which happens to be tomorrow AND it's the first day of Oddities Flea Market in LA! The flower Moon signifies the myriad wildflowers that bloom in May, including anemone, wild garlic, indigo, bluebells, lupine, sundrops, and violets. All the vibrant, colorful flowers blooming definitely mirror the colorful stones that inspire our designs this time of year.

This time of year also symbolizes how we, like flowers, need to grow, spend time in the sun, spread and gather energy. It empowers us to shed the light of awareness upon our insensitivities, self doubt, and guilt and assist us in shedding the outer skin that keeps these feelings hidden away. The Flower Moon holds great power for the potential empowering changes we can bring about.

Full moons are known to bring a particular flow of emotions and vibrations. They have a way of washing away the negative energy to make room for the positive. This month's Full Moon couldn't have come at a better time and I cannot wait to perform a little ritual and set some intentions! I love to work with stones like rutilated quartz, as they are powerful for letting go of energy that is no longer serving you and attracting the clarity, prosperity, and abundance you want in your life.

In case you haven't realized it yet, we are so excited for this weekend and have been working hard creating over 40 pieces of handmade one of a kind pieces for the show! We're including some brand new designs as well as bringing back some classic favorites! Pictured to the right are our latest cuff designs.

While we're working our butts off this weekend, we urge you to take sometime for yourself to practice some self-care, perform a ritual and set some intentions. As with all other full moons, the Flower Moon is full of the feminine divine and is the ideal time to cast spells, wear your favorite gemstone jewelry, and to charge your crystals to draw power from the moon.

Whether you you walk through an endless field of blooming flowers or drink tea made from your favorite edible flowers this is the perfect time to soak up sunshine and look ahead to the summer season, and it’s many events.
